Computer Wars
So I win a computer in a raffle the school had the first week. I have it and up until last Friday it worked. Now,
needless to say, I was and continue to be unhappy about it. On top of this issue is the fact that the laptop I do have
has less memory than a $75 jump drive! SO, I am going to get a new laptop for Christmas. I am going to get money
from Mom and Dad, and use my own to buy a laptop that is fast, has lots of memory, a DVD player, excellent graphics and sound,
and not pay so much for it because I can get Windows for about $20 here on campus. That shaves a few hundred dollars
off the cost. Don't you just love technology? I know I dont -- but hopefully I'll get a great laptop that will
make me happy for a few years.

At Palm Beach Atlantic University they have what are called UST courses. They are manditory, but hey I like the one
I'm in right now, so its all good. Freedom in American Society is a class the emphasizes the role of Christianity in
western ideas of freedom, how unique America is in its design and providence, and why capitalism is what it is, a system that
works best in moral or Judeo-Christian societies like America's. I toook this class along with Principles of Finance
and Principles of Management this semester because I wanted a feel for business and politics at the same time; in order to
wiegh my options. And in short sumation, after having looked at what I feel is my greater passion, I have chosen to
change my major to Political Science.

This city is just great! I mean, honestly, the temperature here is probaly 5-10 degrees cooler than in Broward County,
just half an hour away. And it hasnt just been lately, its been ever since August when I got here. I dont know
what it is, but I like it. Also great about this city, is that everything is on Okechobee Blvd. All the driving
required to get to all the cool places in North Broward -- not here! Speaking of weather, its going to be a really cold
winter because of all the hurricane activity this year. Its already kinda nice earlier this year. I'm guessing
January will have some cold days in the 60's, and maybe 50's at night. Great time to open the windows!
Deception Brown
I have to give the man credit, he knows how to
use a formula to write a book. "Angels and Demons" and "The da Vinci Code" we so similar that it was easy to guess who
the bad guys were if you read either book first. I knew who the bad people were in da Vinci code way before Dan even
got to explaining anything about them. Don't get me wrong, I liked the books, they were real page turners, but "Deception
Point" didnt follow his pattern. I think this is due to the fact that it was his first book, and he learned how to use
a mold later. Having read the books in almost reverse cronological order, I was very pleasantly surprised not to see
the same plot repeated. I was certainly guessing up until the very end.
